Mike Munson is a full time Real Estate Associate Broker and Realtor® in The State of Minnesota and has been selling Real Estate in the Alexandria Lakes Area since 1998. Mike has been married to his wife Linda for
33 years and has 3 children and 2 grand children. Mike specializes in Residential and Lakeshore properties. His goal is to provide his client's with information about the Alexandria Lakes Area concerning real estate and how it
affects his buyers and sellers in their decision making process. Mike Munson is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the Minnesota Association of Realtors (MAR), along with the Greater Alexandria Area
Association of Realtors (GAAAR) of which Mike is currently serving on the board of directors as it's Multiple Listing Service Chairman.
Mike is also a member of New Life Christian Church in Alexandria and has served as the Chairman of the Team Leaders Ministries along with serving in several other areas of ministry in the church. Mike believes that this business is to be used to expand God's Kingdom and to be an ambassador of Jesus Christ. If we keep GOD first then all things are possible.
Experience: Mike Munson's background is in Retail Store Management in which he has held positions as Store Manager, District Store Manager, and Retail Merchandising Manager, Previously the Broker and Owner of a real estate company. With this background Mike understand the importance of customer service as it applies to Real Estate. Mike treats people "the way they expect to be treated", fairly and honestly. Mike follows through and is known for going the extra mile to fulfill his clients needs.

Our Realtor, Mike Munson
Our story is not unlike many others. We absolutely HATED Realtors. In
fact, we classified them along with lawyers, insurance salesmen, etc. We
simply had no trust in them. Starting our construction business we began
to deal with a fair amount of real estate, but were very cautious not to get
involved with anyone because we did not want to put ourselves in a position
where we would be taken advantage of. Thus, we decided to use the For Sale
By Owner method.
The first home we built we figured out our costs and
what we would need from it to profit for our labor. We were asking $130,000.00
and quite excited about selling our first project. My wife received many
letters from Realtors, read them, but threw them away. Although one stood
out to her as it was very sincere and NON-threatening. It stated that as
we both happened to be in the same business right now and he would be happy to
answer any questions that we may have, but as we had not met that the trust
factor was still not there. A month went by and she became uncomfortable
showing the home alone to certain people that would appear at the door.
Another letter came, the only repeated letter from all the agents that tried
initially, and it happened to be from the same agent who stood out the first
time, Mike Munson. This time we called him.
After a nice visit they arranged a time to meet and
Mike offered to put together a competitve market analysis of the home at no
charge. At the first visit we both were impressed by how professional and
ethical this "Realtor" was. Now the trust factor was in place. Mike
was very thorough and said he would return with his report. When he
returned he said we should expect to see between $163,000 & $168,000 for the
sale of the home in the current market. What! That was $35,000 more than
we were asking; we simply had no idea houses like the one we had built were
selling for that.
Instantly, we put the home on the market and within a
few short months it was sold for $165,000. He did everything, held open
houses, had a Realtor tour, aggressively marketed the property in all area
buyers would search, and best of all he kept in touch weekly and after every
showing. He arranged our first closing for us, which went extremely
smooth; all we had to worry about was showing up. The amount we paid him
to do this was so minimal especially in comparison with the incredible he was
able to get for us for our property. Not to mention all the legal issues he
potentially saved us from by being fully informed and disclosing everything
necessary. How naive we were in the beginning.
This has been 8 years ago and we have been in
touch weekly and working together since. I strongly recommend that you
list and sell your properties with the only agent we have ever met that is truly
trustworthy, Mike Munson
